OET Test Information

The Occupational English Test (OET) is an English language test for healthcare professionals. It evaluates the English language proficiency using real healthcare scenario, so the test can be faced with confidence.

OET is recognized by healthcare regulatory boards and councils in Australia, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, the United States, Ireland, Dubai, Singapore, Namibia, and Ukraine. Many organizations, including hospitals, universities and schools, use OET to demonstrate a candidate’s ability to successfully collaborate in a demanding healthcare context.

Like IELTS, OET has four subtests: Listening, Speaking, Reading, and Writing. When it comes to OET scoring, all four subtests of the OET have equal importance and each will be given a grade from A to E. The results are published 16 business days after the test date.
